“Trust is like blood pressure. It’s silent, vital to good health, and if abused it can be deadly.” ~Frank Sonnenberg, author of Follow Your Conscience
There’s an old adage: You can’t give away what you do not own.
It’s true about money—if you ain’t got it, you can’t give it.
It’s true about love—if you don’t understand it, you won’t recognise it.
And it’s true about trust—if you don’t give it, you won’t get it.
And of course, the starting place is, as always, with yourself.
Start trusting yourself more. Start trusting that things will work out. Now. Right now. Especially now.
Trust your gut, or heart, your feelings.
Because that’s where peace resides, folks. And truth. Plus, it’s the remedy for anxiety. So, there’s that.
There’s another old adage: “It’s never too late to begin.” Anything.
So, begin. Anything.
Now.
Trust must be active to be effective.
“He who does not trust enough will not be trusted.” ~Lao Tzu
Speaking of trust…
In response to requests over the years I am (finally) offering a Trust Program tune-up weekend for any past graduates who are ready for a next step. I’m pretty darn excited about what I’ve designed and hope you’ll consider attending.
With the US/Canada border still closed, and my family stuck south of it, I have the highly unusual availability of the family cottage in the 1000 Islands in Ontario for these programs. It is an extraordinary opportunity in a Covid-free location. A taste—the view:
TTP TUNE-UP: Turning Trust from a Noun to a Verb
August 14–16 AND August 21–23, 2020
And if that isn’t enough, there will be ONE more Trust Program in 2020 in the same location:
August 26–30
Respond to me at cynthia@ccbarlow.com if interested. (Note: No program in September)
