“A typical neuron makes about ten thousand connections to neighboring neurons. Given the billions of neurons, this means there are as many connections in a single cubic centimeter of brain tissue as there are stars in the Milky Way galaxy.” ~David Eagleman

Think about that statement for a moment: By implication, your brain contains more connections than there are stars in our visible universe.

That’s a very large number of neural connections; I’m exhausted picturing it.

Your brain is a very active place with a never-ending news feed and crackling stock ticker recording millions of bits of information every single day.

It might be helpful to remember that the next time you forget a name or an appointment, or are exhausted at the end of the day.

There’s a lot going on upstairs in your head.

Cut yourself some slack.

And why not extend that to the people you live and work with, too?

We’ve all got busy brains.
